The French Room
My favorite restaurant in all the world, The French Room at The Adolphus Hotel, downtown Dallas.   Under the expert
guidance of my friend, Executive Chef Jason Weaver, an incredible team of the very best crank out dishes that are invariably
a religious experience.   Sommelier Gregory Cheval's knowledge of wine pairings is as vast as it is down-to-earth accessible,
and the wait staff are just impeccable.   Want to feel like royalty now and then?   This is the place.   Five Stars all the way.
Tell 'em the Snakeman sent you for a great conversation starter.   Chef Weaver has actually let me help prepare some of those amazing creations on a busy night in his kitchen.   As something of an amateur chef in my own right, it was a daunting but wonderful experience for me.

Snake Removal
Got a snake problem?   Want it professionally handled?   This nationwide service safely relocates problem animals, while thoroughly inspecting properties, identifying points of cover, access or attractiveness to snakes, and educating clients about local species.

Reptile Channel
Brought to you by the folks who do Reptile Magazine, this is a cool site for all things herp.

Wildlife Warriors
This is Steve Irwin's foundation, dedicated to conservation in Australia, the US, and around the world.

GigSalad
Want your gig listed? Check this out.

Daily Breeze Adventure Column
This happened while I was in Southern California in February 2004.  Corey Levitan, Adventure Columnist for The Daily Breeze, challenged me to push the envelope with him.  No problem.  He gets it wrong about Mr. Happy being a Burmese Python (he's a Central American Boa Constrictor) but the article is hilarious.

Melissa Kaplan's Reptile Care
A wonderful and extensive collection of care sheets for reptiles of all kinds.   If you're thinking about snakes or other herps as pets, you owe it to yourself and the animals to check this out.

Snakebite Protocols I
A wonderful reference of the correct things to do in case of envenomed snakebite, both first aid and emergency room procedures are included.   Take the ER packet into the field with you and avoid uninformed emergency practices at rural medical facilities.   Follow the links to North America and "Crotalidae" which refers to crotalids - including rattlesnakes, copperheads, and water moccasins.

Kingsnake.com
A very large listing of herpetology sites, including breeders, suppliers and care-sheet sites, forums, chat areas, and more.

Texas Reptiles
One place to start if you want to consider acquiring a snake.   I prefer breeders to pet stores, but do your homework.   Follow the Herp Related Links from this homepage.  One excellent idea is attending an expo.   Lots of breeders, suppliers, and related vendors are all in one place, competing for your business.   Lots of animals to compare and choose from as well.
