      A Tribute to Steve Irwin

No one has ever made anywhere near the impact for conservation and
animal awareness around the world as beloved naturalist and famed
Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin.   The loss is staggering, and was
keenly felt at Snake Encounters.

Steve understood that to make knowledge of the natural world
interesting and engaging,   you have to make it fun - and we are
among thousands in the field of animal education/entertainment who
owe him a debt of gratitude.   A light-hearted spoof of him that
was always a popular part of the show had to be modified out of
respect for his significant contribution.

Our deepest heartfelt condolences go out to his family, which
quite obviously included the crew of Australia Zoo.   Keeping
things going in the shadow of their fallen leader will be an
enormous challenge.
Steady on, mates.   We're grieving with you.
